2 9 ROCKET POWER (CH136) M Chadwick B/TT Drifted back soon after start, raced 8Ls or so away back with last few, plenty to do turning and held up to 300 M, made plenty of ground when clear to finish a strong 2nd.
3 11 BIG WINNER AGAIN (CJ170) M L Yeung B/TT Amongst first to bend, crossed and took ideal 1 out 1 back spot, no excuses throughout, battled with eventual winner on turning, overhauled inside 100 M by 2nd.
4 13 HORSE WIN WIN (CJ078) M W Leung -- Reasonable jump, obtained trail 2 to 3Ls away on rails, not asked in mid-section, same margin down turning, in traffic to 300 M, did best work late to make frame.
5 7 ROYAL PUMPKIN (CJ341) B Prebble -- Began with some purpose, posted 3 wide without cover in midfield, raced 5Ls away throughout, gradually improved on bend, kept coming in straight despite hard run for a respectable 5th.
6 4 FOREVER ELATION (CK215) H W Lai B Taken back from a wide gate, ended up at rear 9Ls off speed racing 2 wide checked at 700 M, gradually made ground turning, not clearest run in straight but kept coming to be not far away at finish. (Explanation reported.)
7 1 NORTH HILL (CJ082) W C Marwing -- No early pace, ended up 8Ls back in rearward spot, saved ground, kept improving on turning, made good ground between horses in straight to be closest on line.
8 2 PACKING SUPREME (CK198) D Beadman XB/H Away early, caught wide and worked forward to race outside leader, had terms to suit with a steady tempo, took over soon after straightening, couldn't keep on and flattened final 200 M.
9 6 ISTIDE (CJ089) J Winks TT Standard jump, drifted back to be 3 wide 6 to 7Ls off speed, pace against in mid-section, came 4 wide turning, kept on to 200 M before peaking on efforts.
10 10 AMAZING VENTURE (CJ039) W M Lai -- Moderate beginning, faded back to race 5Ls off pace in midfield, used little but pace not to suit, held up for a considerable distance straightening, clear only when it was too late.
11 8 KING FAY FAY (CH089) O Doleuze -- Restrained from a wide gate, raced 3 wide 8Ls back with cover, pace against in mid-section, still well back turning, could only make limited progress given final sections.
12 5 GOOD PARTNER (CE221) K C Leung V/XB Reasonable jump, ended up 3 to 4Ls back in midfield, even chance to bend, didn't let down as usual and struggled over concluding stages.
13 14 KAISER'S CHOIX (CE305) C K Tong XB Standard jump, positioned 6 to 7Ls back in running line, slow pace harmed chances throughout, steadied bend, no closer in run to line.
14 12 GREAT SUPREME (CJ027) C W Wong -- Showed early pace, kept on to take up running, set steady tempo to bend, soon headed on turning, dropped out tamely.
