7 1 TRAVEL GUIDE (CK101) B Prebble B/H Began awkwardly then a short distance later was crowded for room. Coursed wide early but managed to camp on the back of the speed 1 of with cover. Copped a heavy bump near the 800 M, found nothing under pressure.
8 11 SPARKLING (CK149) A Gryder -- Travelled midfield, 3 deep with cover. Came wide in the straight but only plodded to the line.
9 5 CHEEKY LAD (CG198) K C Leung B Settled around midfield, 1 off with cover. Got strung up close to heels near the furlong but never really made much impression after shifting out in the clear passing the furlong.
10 3 HIGH LUCK (CK134) W C Marwing -- Showed good gate speed to land in a forward position but after being caught came back in an endeavor to find cover eventually settling with the backmakers, 3 deep with cover. Was flat when asked for an effort in the run home.
11 7 ROYAL PORTRAIT (CJ092) H W Lai -- Snagged back at the start to settle in last position. Struck interference near the furlong and was never a factor thereafter.
12 4 LEO'S PRIDE (CK094) G Mosse B Wide for most of the trip, failed to gain cover while placed close to the pace, not likely.
