3 1 CURLING LUXURY (A083) C L Chau -- Began well, led momentarily before being headed on outside. Held rail before improving to regain the lead near the 1000m. Held narrow lead on straightening, headed at the 250m before giving a length to third in last 150m.
4 2 SHINEALOT (C046) K C Leung B Improved after start to race in midfield on the rail. Shifted wider to obtain clear running soon after straightening before finishing off steadily to not be far behind.
5 10 FORTUNE PATROL (A245) C Schofield B/XB/H1 Slow to begin & raced a clear last. Commenced to improve position when three wide with cover from the 900m, before cornering the widest runner. Made some ground in final 300m but was never close enough to threaten.
6 4 KING PRINT (C123) K Teetan -- Shifted across to midfield from wide gate before getting position away from rail. Moved 3 wide to improve near 800m before entering last section less than 2L from lead. Peaked on run at 200m & weakened a few lengths late.
7 5 LITTLE GENERAL (C096) J Moreira TT2 Had a good run on the leaders back throughout. Niggled along on cornering before peaking at the 250m & weakening out a few lengths to midfield in concluding stages.
8 9 JOY MASTER (B222) B Shinn TT Shifted across after the start to race just worse than midfield on the rail. Shuffled back to third last approaching corner, stayed hard on rail & improved position on straightening. Only maintained margin in last section.
9 11 BRING IT ON (V407) Z Purton B-/TT Began well before being steadied & shifted across to midfield away from rail. Continued in midfield around 6L from the lead at half-way. Shuffled further back on straightening before failing to improve in straight.
10 8 AMAZING AGILITY (V192) M F Poon SR/TT Limited early speed & eventually settled in midfield between runners. Drifted further back in middle stages before coming under heavy riding & losing ground passing 550m. Made no improvement in last section & was well beaten.
11 7 ENJOYABLE SUCCESS (B150) C Wong -- Slow to begin & raced second last after the start. Moved three wide & commenced to improve approaching the 900m. Continued wide passage in middle stages before peaking on run on cornering & weakening out in final section.

13 3 YOU HAVE MY WORD (V149) H N Wong B2 Crowded on jumping & then had no speed consequently racing near the rear. Relegated back to last approaching 1000m. Continued a clear last & under pressure on cornering before failing to make any ground. Beaten a big margin.
14 13 YOUNG GLORY (B292) A Hamelin B Had no early speed despite being hard ridden & raced worse than midfield. Continued to be ridden along in middle stages to hold positon before cornering long way from lead. Weakened further in the straight to be a long last.
