3 10 TRAVEL DATUK (V235) C Y Ho B Enjoyed soft run in midfield along the rail throughout. Stayed close to the inside on cornering before making continual ground along the rail in concluding stages to just miss second.
4 2 JAZZ STEED (C406) P-C Boudot B/TT Shifted across to midfield after start when racing 3 wide with cover in middle stages. Moved closer to lead approaching the 500m, cornered only 3L from lead before closing well in late stages to just miss a placing.
5 4 FARM BUMPER (C244) A Badel -- Drifted back after start & raced just worse than midfield away from rail. Moved closer to lead passing half-way, cornered 4L from lead, moved the widest runner on straightening before finishing well to be under 2L behind.
6 3 VERY SWEET ORANGE (A300) T Marquand V Shared early lead before being crossed & racing on leaders back from near the 700m. Emptied out passing the 200m & gave a length or two in concluding stages.
7 7 HAPPILY FRIENDS (C533) H Doyle -- Steadied & shifted across after start to race third last away from rail. Shifted wider in the straight before making some late ground in closing stages from rearward position.
8 8 WINNER'S HEART (D044) N Callan -- Pushed forward before settling third away from rail without cover. Cornered a length from lead, raced tight between runners near the 100m, emptied out soon after before being crowded in concluding stages. No threat.
9 6 YOUNG VICTORY (D399) M Barzalona -- Slow to begin & consequently raced second last throughout. Made up some ground in the concluding stages but was never a threat.
10 5 PACKING CHAMPION (D291) R Moore H Slow to begin before mustering speed to improve to midfield on rail. Raced keenly in middle stages & lost a length near the 550m. Made no improvement in straight & was no threat.
11 9 HEY PAL (D294) Z Purton B/TT Shifted back from wide gate & raced at the tail. Continued a clear last on cornering & made no real improvement. Second last.
12 12 OVERSUBSCRIBED (C361) K Teetan XB Raced in midfield between runners after start before travelling keenly near the 800m. Awkwardly placed close to heels near the 550m, cornered 3L from lead before weakening poorly in last furlong.
