2 9 GREAT HARVEST (B390) N Callan -- Raced worse than midfield, 3 deep with cover throughout. Moved closer to lead as field bunched approaching the corner, sprinted well to assume narrow lead near the 150m before passed by winner soon after. Held narrow second.
3 13 BLAZING PARTNERS (B071) K Teetan B Enjoyed nice run on leaders back throughout. Held up momentarily near the 300m mark before closing off well between runners inside the final 150m to hold third, beaten under 1L.
4 4 WINWIN THIRTYTHREE (C110) A Hamelin B Had limited speed at start & was hard ridden to hold position between runners worse than midfield. Straightened under 3L from the lead as field bunched on turn, held up near the 300m mark before closing steadily late.
5 8 VIVA MAMA (D408) H T Mo TT Began very fast to lead. Continued to share narrow lead until headed passing the 200m mark & weakening a length or two to midfield.
6 2 GALAXY EMPEROR (D107) R Maia B/H/TT Bumped at start, improved position before being caught 3 deep without cover just behind leading pair throughout. Hard ridden approaching corner, straightened only 1.5L from lead before emptying out at 250m. (Lame next day).
7 6 UNIVERSAL RECORD (D137) M Chadwick CP Mustered speed after the start before racing outside the leader. Continued to share lead inside the final 200m before emptying out at the 150m mark & giving a few lengths to midfield late.
8 5 CRUCIATUS (C206) H N Wong XB/TT Began only fairly & raced worse than midfield on the rail. Stayed on the inside on cornering when just under 3L from the lead before finishing only fairly to midfield without threatening.
9 3 WONDER EXPRESS (C224) B Shinn CP/TT Raced 3 deep with cover in midfield in early stages before being forced wider & without cover passing half-way. Cornered very wide, straightened 3L from the lead before finishing evenly to midfield without threatening.
10 7 VICTORIOUS LEADER (B288) Z Purton -- Steadied & taken back to tail. Raced tight approaching corner, straightened just over 2L from lead before being held up until the 300m mark. Held up again near the 100m before not really tested late.
11 11 THE FULL BLOOM (V243) M F Poon V Raced in midfield on rail. Was held up for clear running for the majority of the straight until shifting out at the 125m & finishing only evenly late. Had some excuse.
12 12 LITTLE GENERAL (C096) V Borges CP-/B2/TT Steadied after first furlong & shifted back to race near rearward. Bumped & relegated to last near the 900m. Continued last entering final section when 5.5L from lead before failing to make any headway in dash to line. (Lame).
13 10 FOR FUN'S SAKE (D242) C Y Ho -- Strode forward before getting good position away from the rail just behind the leading pair. Straightening just over a length form the lead before emptying at the 275m mark & weakening poorly in final furlong.
14 14 BRAVERY AND POWER (C295) M L Yeung TT Raced in midfield between runners in early stages before becoming keen & shifting wider passing half-way. Then commenced to hang out badly around the home corner before weakening badly in the straight to last. (Must trial).
