4 1 SPEED FAY FAY (D121) C Schofield B Raced in midfield on the rail throughout. Steadied near the 500m when travelling well. Moved off the rail on straightening, entered last section 5.5L from lead before finishing steadily to be just behind placings.
5 9 SUPER MISSION (D262) K C Leung H1 Steadied after the start before drifting back to race worse than midfield away from rail. Eased wider on cornering, entered last section over 6L from lead before closing well in late stages to midfield. (Rider questioned).
6 10 TELECOM ROCKET (C137) M Chadwick B-/CP2 Ridden forward after start before getting good position 1,1. Hard ridden on straightening, entered last section 4.5L from lead before weakening a few lengths.
7 14 KUNG FU TEA (C136) M F Poon SR Shifted behind runners after the start & raced at the tail. Continued near the tail, 7.5L from the lead entering last section, shifted away from heels before finishing strongest. Couldn't figure given race shape.
8 12 VIVA POPCORN (D307) T Piccone H1/TT Had no speed after start, raced near the tail on the fence throughout. Stayed along rail on straightening, just under 7L from lead entering last section before making up a length or so to midfield. Never a threat.
9 6 COPARTNER AMBITION (E218) C Y Ho TT Settled back after start & raced worse than midfield away from rail. Drifted further back approaching corner before coming under pressure when 7L behind. Failed to close off in straight and was no threat. (Rider questioned).
10 4 TELECOM ELITE (D355) B Shinn B1 Raced in midfield between runners throughout. Raced tight on cornering when 6L from lead before emptying out near the 300m mark & weakening poorly to be beaten a big margin.
11 7 E BROTHER (E266) A Badel -- Showed speed after the start before being crossed & racing on leaders back from the 1000m. Dropped back 5L from lead entering last section as leader skipped clear, before weakening badly in last 350m.
12 13 NOBLE MAN (C412) H N Wong B/E/TT Ridden forward to be prominent before racing second away from the rail. Moved up top leaders flanks at the 750m mark before coming under hard riding at the 550m mark & weakening badly in straight to be beaten big margin.
13 11 GOLDEN FOUR (B225) A Hamelin -- Steadied after the start & shifted back to race near the tail when 3 wide with cover. Hard ridden approaching the 600m mark before straightening in last place, 9L behind. Weakened badly to be long second last.
14 2 BLAZING BEAT (D342) K Teetan B Fractious in gates, before drifting back after the start when racing very wide & without cover. Continued very hard run in middle stages, cornered near the rear before being retired out of the race in straight. (See report).
