1 2 SECOND TO NONE (H319) L Hewitson -- Had a nice run third on rail, three or 4 lengths from leader who went clear in first half before improving onto leaders back from the 700m. Brushed with rival 225m before closing well to steal lead in final few strides.
2 14 AFFIRM (H306) K Teetan TT Ridden forward to lead, held 2L advantage over nearest rival in middle stages before having rival at his quarters from the 650m. Was still a length clear at furlong, tried hard but just caught in final few strides.
3 11 WINNING GOLD (H461) K De Melo H/TT Drifted back after the start & raced worse than midfield when three wide with cover. Was wider again from 600m, was the widest on straightening when about 6L from lead before finishing strongly down the outside late.
4 3 WAR OF COURAGE (C483) K H Chan B Raced a clear second after the start when following the leader who went clear. Improved to race at leaders' quarters from 650m, continued to hold second place until 225m where he brushed rival, battled on to be beaten 2L.
5 9 LUCKY FIONN (J047) A Atzeni TT Raced in midfield between runners throughout. Eased wider just prior to straightening, entered last section 4.5L from the lead, closed steadily all the way to just miss 4th on the line.
6 1 SKY HEART (J092) B Shinn TT Got caught racing three wide with cover in midfield throughout. Eased wider on straightening when just over 3L from lead, finished off steadily in the straight to hold midfield finish.
7 5 SOARING BRONCO (J162) H Bentley -- Got a nice position fourth away from the rail after start and then raced 1,1 from about the 900m. Bumped heavily on straightening, was 3L from the lead entering last section, battled on to finish in a bunch in midfield.
8 7 TRAVEL GOLF (H063) M Chadwick TT- Steadied after first 100m & raced just worse than midfield between runners. Was rearward on straightening when just under 6L from the lead before finishing off fairly late to finish in a bunch in midfield.
9 6 FIGHT TIME (H409) M F Poon B/TT Limited pace after start & got back to race just worse than midfield along the rail. Improved to midfield in middle stages, steadied near the 650m, moved away from rail near the 500m, finished off steadily to midfield late.
10 4 GOOD GOOD (J224) R Moore B1 Was slow to begin, was shifted down to rail and raced third last along the inside in the middle stages. Was 5.5L from the lead entering last section, finished off only fairly nearer to the inside in the concluding stages.
11 8 CHATER GOLD (J004) A Badel CP Drifted back after the start & raced second last away from the rail. Moved wider on the track passing the 600m, was just under 7L from the lead on straightening, passed only one or two tiring rivals in the straight.
12 10 TOP PEAK (H441) C L Chau TT1 Was trapped racing three wide without cover in midfield throughout. Moved closer to lead after the 800m when continuing wide, bumped heavily on straightening when only 2.5L from the lead, emptied at 200m, over-run late.
13 13 CIRCUIT NINE (G140) A Hamelin B/TT Shifted back from the widest gate at raced at the tail. Continued last and 7L from lead on straightening, did little in the straight & was never a factor.
14 12 KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486) B Thompson B/TT Shifted down to the rail soon after the start & improved after first furling to race in midfield. Was under 4L from the lead entering last section when continuing along rail but weakened poorly in final 250m & finished last.
