3 4 BEAUTY BOLT (K491) J McDonald TT From draw 12 pushed forward to track leader, took over nearing 350M and fought hard, shifted in under pressure 150M causing interference to rivals, lost lead inside 100M and caught by 2nd near line.
4 1 SAGACIOUS LIFE (K507) Z Purton TT From draw 13 slotted into a 3-wide spot in mid-division, kept on steadily to be challenging for the lead mid-straight, peaked on its run 100M.
5 11 TOP DRAGON (J481) M Guyon TT Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, held up in midfield along the inside, came with a serious challenge passing 300M but was crowded 100M losing momentum. Could have finished closer.
6 3 INVINCIBLE IBIS (K296) H Bowman CP Given a waiting ride at the rear of the field, brought wide 550M, ran on without serious threat. (Jockey reminded to ride out to the finish of the race.)
7 12 CIRCUIT GRAND SLAM (K201) C L Chau TT1 Settled at the rear 7-8Ls off the pace, had task in hand 400M, made some progress towards the finish but was comfortably held by leaders final stages.
8 10 AKASHVANI (K234) L Ferraris B Jumped only fairly, moved forward chasing leaders, briefly went 2nd nearing 250M, lacked further response final 200M. (Jockey : dropped left rein for a number of strides passing 50M.)
9 7 PATCH OF COSMO (J357) M Chadwick B Jumped only fairly, ended up racing near last, didn't have the clearest of runs in early part of the straight before closing off moderately final 150M. Had too much to make up on leaders.
10 8 PUBLIC ATTENTION (L035) B Avdulla B2 Chased leader on the inside after a clean start from draw 1, battled hard to stay in contention early straight, wasn't going as well as the leaders when checked 150 losing momentum.
11 5 CRIMSON FLASH (K173) A Atzeni B-/CP1 Bumped on jumping, held up behind midfield 4-5Ls off the pace, responded only fairly from 400M and failed to see out the 1600m trip.
12 14 WINDLORD (L184) D B McMonagle H-/CP2/TT Jumped only fairly, settled down towards the rear in a 3-wide position without cover, failed to quicken when asked top of the straight, eased near 200M.
13 9 WINFIELD (K446) L Hewitson H-/XB Sent forward to lead, caught inside 350M then weakened out of contention. (Jockey - hung in throughout and struck the running rail near 200M.)
