Racing Incident Report

DOWN TOWN was withdrawn on 23.5.09 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, DOWN TOWN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. On jumping, ONE WORLD was crowded for room between SUNNY POWER and REGENCY DRAGON which shifted in. Also on jumping, NIGHTLIGN got its head up and shifted out, causing GALLANT LION to be carried wider. Near the 900 Metres, FRIENDLY GAINS was steadied away from the heels of LUCKY QUALITY (B Prebble) which shifted in when not clear. In the circumstances, B Prebble was severely reprimanded and told to exercise greater care. After the 900 Metres, HONGKONG SUPERSTAR was carried in by SUNNY POWER which got its head on the side and shifted in after being brushed by REGENCY DRAGON which got its head on the side and shifted ground. FRIENDLY GAINS and MASTER POWER were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FRIENDLY GAINS and MASTER POWER after the race did not show any significant findings. ONE WORLD, GALLANT LION and BRILLIANT CHAPTER were sent for sampling.
