Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
4 GENEVA (J114) Sent for sampling post-race.
13 THUNDER KIT (L121) Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was checked when crowded between GRIT SPIRIT and SUGAR SUGAR (E C W Wong) which shifted out. E C W Wong was advised to exercise more care. Sent for sampling post-race.
14 LUCKY CANDY (L041) Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with CHATEAUNEUF. Trainer W K Mo confirmed that from a wide barrier and with the horse stepping up to 1200 Metres he had instructed A Badel to go forward as he was of the opinion that there was not strong pace engaged in the event.
5 COOL BOY (L014) Z Purton stated that the intention was to hold a handy position. He said from his wide barrier he was obliged to make use of his mount to go forward in the early stages and race outside the lead to avoid covering additional ground. He said this resulted in COOL BOY racing in a more forward position than intended. Trainer J Richards confirmed the instructions were to be handy but accepted the reasons as to why the horse was obliged to race in a more forward position. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 CIRCUIT GRAND SLAM (K201) No report.
3 CELESTIAL HERO (K363) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
7 SAVVY BRILLIANT (J437) Near the 450 Metres, when racing keenly, improved to the inside of SUGAR SUGAR as that runner was being shifted to the inside of LUCKY CANDY. As a result SAVVY BRILLIANT was steadied to avoid SUGAR SUGAR. Held up for clear running over the final 400 Metres and near the 150 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between LUCKY CANDY and COOL BOY.
8 PEGAS (L075) Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start became unbalanced when it made contact with GRIT SPIRIT. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 SUGAR SUGAR (G016) No report.
9 OUTGATE (H113) No report.
6 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) Between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 GRIT SPIRIT (L116) Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between THUNDER KIT and PEGAS.
11 FLYING HUNTER (L247) Jumped only fairly. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
1 CHATEAUNEUF (J219) Bumped at the start. Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
