1 14 STAR SATYR (K231) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 11 HOT AIR BALLON (K144) Crowded at the start. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 4 CALIFORNIA WAVES (K477) Noted to have sustained a small abrasion to the right hind leg after the race. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 6 MR INVINCIBLE (L448) The tongue tie was refitted at the Start.
5 7 NOT USUAL DOUBLE (L464) Shortly after the start was bumped by HOT AIR BALLON which shifted in. When placed under pressure in the Home Straight raced greenly and near the 300 Metres lay in and away from DRAGON GENERATION. Approaching the 200 Metres shifted out and as a result was steadied to avoid COOGEE BAY. Over the final 100 Metres lay out which resulted in its rider Z Purton having to stop riding and straighten his mount approaching the finish.
6 3 CHIU CHOW GOLF (L216) Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
7 12 JUST FOLLOW ME (K332) No report.
8 13 LAKESHORE HERO (J288) A Atzeni stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. He said LAKESHORE HERO raced too keenly during the early and middle stage and was steadied to avoid NOT USUAL DOUBLE near the 700 Metres. He added that as a result LAKESHORE HERO was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 8 LESLIE (E471) Slow to begin.
10 9 COOGEE BAY (L307) No report.
11 10 DRAGON GENERATION (L335) Jumped only fairly. Near the 250 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of COOGEE BAY to continue into clear running. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 1 EXCELLENCE VALUE (K093) No report.
13 5 COMIC (L486) On jumping was bumped by CHIU CHOW GOLF which shifted in.
14 2 WATCH LEGEND (L313) M Chadwick reported that he was instructed to take up a midfield position but his mount led the event as it was stepping up in distance. He said, in his opinion, WATCH LEGEND would be better suited racing at Happy Valley. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
