Racing Incident Report

YOUNG HAPPY was slow to begin. From a wide barrier, DRAGON CHOICE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. PAPAS and ALL THE WINNERS made contact on a number of occasions shortly after the start, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. After this, despite being ridden along, ALL THE WINNERS failed to muster speed and throughout the race travelled wide. Approaching the 1000 Metres, PERFECT JOY was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of AMAZING SKY which was taken in by POTENTIAL. Near the 150 Metres, EKRAAR EMPEROR shifted out, inconveniencing POTENTIAL. For the majority of the race, PAPAS and EKRAAR EMPEROR travelled wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that PAPAS had lost its left front plate. A veterinary inspection of ALL THE WINNERS after the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped. A veterinary inspection of EKRAAR EMPEROR after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, EKRAAR EMPEROR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LUCKY RECORD and AMAZING SKY were sent for sampling.
