Racing Incident Report

1 11 MACANESE MASTER (J532) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 9 TAIHANG SCENERY (J314) Over-raced in the middle stages. Passing the 400 Metres raced awkwardly close to the heels of BRILLIANT FIRE and on the Home Turn was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for clear running between BRILLIANT FIRE and EXCEED THE WISH (L Hewitson) which shifted out. In assessing the incident the Stewards were satisfied that the racing manners of TAIHANG SCENERY was the main contributor to the incident, however, L Hewitson was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. Passing the 300 Metres lay in and bumped the hindquarters of MODEST GENTLEMAN. . Near the 200 Metres was disappointed for a run between EXCEED THE WISH and MODEST GENTLEMAN before then shifting back in to continue into clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 12 MODEST GENTLEMAN (G352) Bumped shortly after the start. Passing the 300 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters by TAIHANG SCENERY which shifted in.
4 2 NEBRASKAN (J304) Sent for sampling post-race.
5 4 SPICY SPANGLE (J087) Jumped only fairly. K C Leung reported that his instructions were to obtain a position with cover in the early stages as his mount had not been finishing its races off in recent starts when leading.
6 1 ISLAND BREEZES (J479) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
7 5 EXCEED THE WISH (J480) Jumped only fairly.
8 3 THOUSAND CUPS (J482) Shifted out near the 200 Metres and bumped RACINGRACE.
9 8 ORIENTAL SURPRISE (K028) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
10 10 SPORTIC WARRIOR (J385) Slow to begin. Inside the 400 Metres was checked when racing close to the heels of THOUSAND CUPS.
11 6 RACINGRACE (J102) Near the 200 Metres got unbalanced after being bumped by THOUSAND CUPS which was shifting out to improve. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 7 BRILLIANT FIRE (J441) Raced wide and without cover from the 700 Metres. A Atzeni explained that even though his mount was caught wide he was still of the opinion the performance was disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV SILVER KING (H420) SILVER KING, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 10.2.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left front tendon injury).
