Racing Incident Report

1 8 INNO SUPER (K319) C L Chau was fined the sum of $10,000 for using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on five occasions inside the final 100 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 2 NOBLE PURSUIT (H324) After passing the 500 Metres was crowded for room by WAVE GARDEN which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 6 NORTHERN BEAST (H233) Z Purton reported that it was not his intention to lead but due to the lack of early speed he was left with no option.
4 9 CALIFORNIA BANNER (J132) Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped ABSOLUTE AWAKENED.
5 7 KOLACHI (J395) No report.
6 12 SETANTA (G095) No report.
7 1 HARMONY GALAXY (J266) Near the 300 Metres shifted out and bumped PRESTIGE RICKY.
8 5 TO INFINITY (G277) Near the 150 Metres was steadied to avoid the heels of WAVE GARDEN which shifted in slightly when laying in.
9 10 WAVE GARDEN (K209) Fractious in the barriers and broke through prior to the start, however, was quickly restrained, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Jumped awkwardly. Lay in in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <12/2/2026 Additional Veterinary Report> After the race, WAVE GARDEN was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. WAVE GARDEN was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K H Ting this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, WAVE GARDEN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 3 ABSOLUTE AWAKENED (K039) ABSOLUTE AWAKENED, which was standing awkwardly in the barriers, was removed and subsequently took its place back in the field. Bumped on jumping by CALIFORNIA BANNER which shifted out. Trainer F C Lor advised the instructions were to have the horse ridden in a midfield position. It was noted that in the early stages ABSOLUTE AWAKENED was caught wide and had to be eased further back in the field to obtain cover in the running line. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 4 PRESTIGE RICKY (K009) Near the 300 Metres got unbalanced after being bumped by HARMONY GALAXY which shifted out. K C Leung reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm and an endoscopic examination also showed a substantial amount of blood in its trachea. Before being allowed to race again, PRESTIGE RICKY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
12 11 ONE LOVE (K584) M Guyon reported that in the early stages he was caught wide and therefore elected to press on and take up a forward position to trail the leader. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV KA YING GLORY (K247) Withdrawn on 10.2.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right knee injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter CALIFORNIA BANNER. Before being allowed to race again, KA YING GLORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
