1 6 FORTUNE STAR (K003) Shortly after the start was bumped by CALIFORNIA BANNER which shifted out. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up making the Home Turn. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 8 INCANTO STAR (K343) On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by SHINKANSEN which shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 4 CALIFORNIA BANNER (J132) Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 9 SMART CITY (J213) No report.
5 7 GOOD LUCK WIN (J135) No report.
6 2 NOBLE PURSUIT (H324) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind INCANTO STAR. Near the 100 Metres was eased to avoid CALIFORNIA BANNER (M Chadwick) when that runner shifted in when not quite clear. M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care.
7 3 GLORIOUS JOURNEY (J137) Jumped only fairly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Noted to have sustained a minor abrasion to the right front leg after the race.
8 10 NORTHERN FIRE BALL (J488) No report.
9 11 CONSPIRACY WITNESS (J541) H Bentley could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 1 HARMONY GALAXY (J266) Approaching the 500 Metres was steadied when crowded between CALIFORNIA BANNER (M Chadwick) which shifted out when positioned close to CONSPIRACY WITNESS and GLORIOUS JOURNEY (C Y Ho) which maintained a tight line to the outside of HARMONY GALAXY. Both M Chadwick and C Y Ho were advised to exercise more care. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 12 SHINKANSEN (H277) Shifted out at the start and was bumped. L Hewitson could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 5 FORERUNNER (G465) M Guyon reported that the intention was to hold a midfield position but after his mount commenced well it was able to hold an on-pace position without being pressured to do so. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV FUN TOGETHER (H041) Withdrawn on 13.1.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter CALIFORNIA BANNER. Before being allowed to race again, FUN TOGETHER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
WV APOLAR FIGHTER (J169) Withdrawn on 13.1.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter NORTHERN FIRE BALL. Before being allowed to race again, APOLAR FIGHTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
