Racing Incident Report

POETIC JUSTICE began awkwardly.
Near the 1500 Metres, PRINCE MAG was checked and IT HAS TO BE YOU hampered when crowded for room between SAME WORLD (D Whyte) which shifted in and POETIC JUSTICE which shifted out away from the heels of RAINBOW CHIC. D Whyte was severely reprimanded and advised that whilst there was a contribution to this incident by POETIC JUSTICE shifting ground, nonetheless he was not clear of runners to his inside at the time of shifting in. He was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
In the early stages, PRESIDENT LINCOLN was left racing wide and without cover and after the 1200 Metres was ridden along to obtain a more forward position closer to the rail.
After the 1200 Metres, SAME WORLD was left racing wide and without cover.
In the early part of the Straight, IT HAS TO BE YOU got its head on the side and hung in and near the 200 Metres was steadied away from the heels of SAME WORLD after shifting across behind that horse. After this, IT HAS TO BE YOU continued to race with its head on the side and hang in.
The performance of PRINCE MAG, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PRINCE MAG will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
POETIC JUSTICE, RAINBOW CHIC and BLAZING SPEED were sent for sampling.
