Racing Incident Report

On jumping, STRAIGHT VICTORY lost ground as a result of being bumped by SPARKLING STAR which was carried in by LIAOBUQI which in turn was carried in by GUNG HO. FLYING BISHOP began awkwardly, got its head up and lost ground. At the 1300 Metres, GUNG HO got its head on the side, shifted in and was steadied away from the heels of LIAOBUQI. On straightening, DILIGENT was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of POCKET MONEY. At the 250 Metres, FIREWHEEL got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly. Near the 200 Metres, C Brown (FIREWHEEL) momentarily dropped his left rein. Near the 100 Metres, ROMANTIC WINNER got its head on the side and shifted out. Because of this, B Prebble, its rider, changed the whip into his left hand. In the Straight, GUNG HO hung in and proved difficult to ride. STRAIGHT VICTORY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of STRAIGHT VICTORY after the race did not show any significant findings. DON FELIPE and POCKET MONEY were sent for sampling.
