Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 11 GOLDEN BRILLIANT (K347) Shifted in on jumping, resulting in its rider A Badel having to correct his mount. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the 800 Metres raced very wide and without cover. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 8 STAR ELEGANCE (K536) Near the 1300 Metres was crowded. In the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out. Over the concluding stages K C Leung was unable to use his whip when positioned close to WINNING DATA. Near the 50 Metres STAR ELEGANCE and WINNING DATA made slight contact due to both runners shifting ground. K C Leung reported that his mount was slow to begin and as a consequence settled further back in the field than he had intended. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 9 WINNING DATA (H230) Near the 1300 Metres was crowded for room between THE AZURE and TO INFINITY which shifted in whilst being corrected by its rider J Orman. Near the 50 Metres WINNING DATA and STAR ELEGANCE made slight contact due to both runners shifting ground. Approaching the winning post raced tight between GOLDEN BRILLIANT and STAR ELEGANCE which shifted in when it continued to lay in.
4 5 AMAZING AWARD (J236) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 3 HARMONY GALAXY (J266) Shifted out on jumping and made contact with STELLAR SWIFT.
6 6 THE AZURE (J227) Bumped at the start. Near the 1300 Metres was crowded and made contact with the running rail.
7 4 FORTUNE STAR (K003) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1300 Metres shifted in and made contact with the running rail. When being shifted out to avoid the running rail FORTUNE STAR made contact with STAR ELEGANCE. Near the 300 Metres was briefly held up for clear running behind THE AZURE.
8 2 STELLAR SWIFT (J139) Bumped at the start. H Bentley stated that his mount came under pressure soon after entering the Home Straight and finished the race off only fairly thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” 'which had previously been reported.
9 7 TO INFINITY (G277) Near the 1300 Metres shifted in and made contact with WINNING DATA and then shifted out abruptly when being corrected by its rider.
10 12 DIRIYA (K282) L Hewitson could offer no explanation for his horse’s failure to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 10 WAVE GARDEN (K209) Jumped awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and made contact with THE AZURE. Raced keenly when positioned outside the lead in the early stages.
12 1 KING OF SELECTION (K397) Near the 1300 Metres was hampered when taken wider by TO INFINITY which shifted out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
