Racing Incident Report

1 7 ROMANTIC GLADIATOR (L240) After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on ROMANTIC GLADIATOR at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ROMANTIC GLADIATOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 1 FIVEFORTWO (K381) Shortly after the start shifted out and made contact with STORMI. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 4 ALL ROUND WINNER (K382) On jumping shifted out and made contact with IGOR STRAVINSKY. Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid SEWARD.
4 5 FORTUNATE SON (J446) Jumped only fairly. Held up for clear running making the Home Turn.
5 6 PRAY FOR JUSTICE (K473) No report.
6 9 SUPER UNICORN (H481) Bumped at the start. When placed under pressure in the Home Straight lay in.
7 8 STORMI (K084) Bumped shortly after the start. C L Chau stated that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead and as a result did not run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 2 SEWARD (K563) Bumped at the start. Near the 350 Metres was steadied to avoid IGOR STRAVINSKY. Near the 200 Metres was steadied when crowded between FORTUNATE SON and IGOR STRAVINSKY which shifted in and away from ALL ROUND WINNER.
9 3 IGOR STRAVINSKY (K086) On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by ALL ROUND WINNER. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
