Racing Incident Report

HEXAGON was slow to begin. Passing the 800 Metres, MY GOOD FRIEND was steadied away from the heels of RAISING SUN which shifted in. Making the first turn, GORGEOUS LIFE hung out and then continued to hang out for the remainder of the race. The performance of GORGEOUS LIFE was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GORGEOUS LIFE will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. Over the concluding stages, TATTENHALL DELIGHT was checked away from the heels of BUMBLE BEE. The performance of OUR WISH, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, OUR WISH will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of TURF WINNER after the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being permitted to race again, TURF WINNER will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ROMANTIC CITY and HOT SHOT were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that TATTENHALL DELIGHT had lost its right front plate.
