Racing Incident Report

DARPANA was slow to begin and then shortly after the start was crowded for room, together with RAINBOW SEEKER, between NOTUS which shifted in and HINYUEN PALADIN which shifted out abruptly. Near the 250 Metres, VAJRA THRONE shifted ground, resulting in its rider, Y T Cheng, becoming unbalanced. Throughout the race, NATURAL FLAME travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of NOTUS after the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being permitted to race again, NOTUS will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LUCKY BOY and DARPANA were sent for sampling.
