Racing Incident Report

EARL OF LEITRIM was withdrawn on 1.12.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (sore left fore suspensory) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter EMPEROR CLAUDIUS (T H So). Before being allowed to race again, EARL OF LEITRIM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
CROWN WITNESS began awkwardly.
From wide barriers, VAUGIRARD and ROYAL PARTNER were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Making the turn after the 1200 Metres, CROWN WITNESS got its head on the side and lay out and after being left racing three wide and without cover was allowed to stride forward passing the 1000 Metres.
Making the turn near the 600 Metres, ROYAL PARTNER got its head on the side and lay out.
Passing the 150 Metres, SILVER GRECIAN momentarily raced in restricted room between FREE JUDGEMENT and MR MEDICI which got its head on the side and shifted out.
In the Straight, EMPEROR CLAUDIUS got its head on the side and hung in.
The performance of ROYAL PARTNER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ROYAL PARTNER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of TURF EXPRESS after the race revealed that it was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being permitted to race again, TURF EXPRESS will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
AOMEN and NOBLE ALPHA were sent for sampling.
