Racing Incident Report

ACTIVISM was slow to begin.
From wide barriers, RIO WILLIE and HORACE’S EMPIRE were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
G Mossé, the rider of CHANCELLOR, which won the race by the margin of a nose, was fined the sum of $5,000 for returning to scale 2 lbs overweight. G Mossé was advised that had he have been beaten by a narrow margin in this race, the Stewards would likely have imposed a more significant penalty.
A veterinary inspection of HORACE’S EMPIRE after the race did not show any significant findings.
UWILLBEGLORIOUS, CHANCELLOR and JIMSON THE BEST were sent for sampling.
