5 3 VICTORY SKY (J540) Z Purton reported that the instructions were to take up a midfield position, however, was unable to do so after his mount lost its footing on jumping and as a result was obliged to race wide and subsequently settled further back than he would have liked. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
6 8 VULCANUS (J150) No report.
7 4 BLAZING WIND (J157) Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his mount, in his opinion, races best if able to gain some cover. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 10 RYUI KOKOROE (L120) Lay in for the major part of the Home Straight.
9 1 HORSEPOWER (J431) No report.
10 7 MUST GO (J133) A Atzeni could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MUST GO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
11 12 LET'S HAVE FUN (L118) Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
12 9 LUCKY DOCTOR (L225) Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped by AURORA PATCH which shifted out. L Hewitson reported that his mount raced very greenly and hung out for the major part of the race and would derive benefit from having its first race start in Hong Kong. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have blood in its mouth.
