3 12 AMAZING DUCK (H392) Leaving the 900 Metres made contact with PRESTIGE HALL.
4 10 FLYING BOOM (K327) Near the 400 Metres lay in when being shifted to the outside of JOLLY BRILLIANT and as a result was steadied to avoid JOLLY BRILLIANT.
5 9 BEST WORLD (L329) Jumped only fairly, shifted out and made contact with ACE.
6 3 KA YING SUPERB (J091) No report.
7 14 NINJA DERBY (H339) In the early stages raced keenly. For some distance near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid KA YING SUPERB. Between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.
8 13 FAMILY FORTUNE (H447) Shifted out at the start and made contact with JUMBO STEPS. Near the 850 Metres became unbalanced when momentarily crowded by NINJA DERBY which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider when being steadied to avoid KA YING SUPERB.
9 4 MEGA MASTERMIND (L044) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 6 ACE (K307) C L Chau stated that after jumping only fairly and then being bumped at the start he was obliged to make use of the horse in the early stages to hold a handy position. He said in the Home Straight ACE finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 1 JUMBO STEPS (L269) Bumped on jumping.
12 7 BEAUTY VIVA (K155) No report.
13 2 CHILL PARTNERS (K484) Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres.
14 5 PRESTIGE HALL (K040) Approaching the 900 Metres improved to the inside of LUCKY BALERION as that runner was being shifted in. Leaving the 900 Metres then became unbalanced when crowded between AMAZING DUCK which maintained its position away from the rail and LUCKY BALERION which shifted in. E Brown stated that with his mount stepping up in distance he was able to hold a more forward position than its most recent starts. He said in the Home Straight PRESTIGE HALL did not respond to his riding and raced in a disappointing manner. Trainer D J Hall stated that the horse had pleased him leading into the race and may have reached the end of its preparation. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
