3 9 MIGHTY FIGHTER (L132) Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. After leaving the 500 Metres attempted a run to the inside of LADY’S LOVE on entering the Home Straight, however, was disappointed for a clear run and then was shifted out to obtain clear running before shifting back in near the 300 Metres.
4 2 CALIFORNIA WAVES (K477) No report.
5 1 WELL ENOUGH (L029) Slow to begin.
6 12 POLAR PATCH (L211) Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with GENIUS BABY. C L Chau explained that his instructions were to ride his mount in a forward position.
7 5 KINGMAN REEF (L446) No report.
8 4 STEADFAST FORT (L286) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
9 7 GENIUS BABY (K132) On jumping was bumped by HAPPY PROMISE and POLAR PATCH, both of which shifted ground. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
10 11 HAPPY PROMISE (L266) Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of GENIUS BABY. A Atzeni reported that his mount was disappointing albeit being obliged to race wide throughout the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 6 JOLLY BONUS (L327) Had a tendency to over-race in the middle stages.
12 13 FORZA LEADER (L034) No report.
13 10 NEXT FORTUNE (L199) No report.
14 8 GOLDEN WIN (L026) K C Leung could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
