3 1 JUICY DRAGON (K405) On jumping made contact with KING’S ARROW and became unbalanced.
4 2 MEGA CAPTAIN (L287) Z Purton pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 100 Metres (see CENTRAL BANK). Sent for sampling post-race.
5 11 KING'S ARROW (L254) Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was checked when crowded by GIANT SPIRIT which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. Approaching the 100 Metres, when laying in, was bumped by CENTRAL BANK which was taken out by MEGA CAPTAIN.
6 7 GOOD CHAP (J499) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
7 4 CENTRAL BANK (L222) Near the 800 Metres CENTRAL BANK shifted to the outside of NOBLE DELUXE to obtain a three wide position as MEGA CAPTAIN (Z Purton) improved to the outside of CENTRAL BANK. Making the turn near the 700 Metres CENTRAL BANK was then eased when crowded between NOBLE DELUXE which shifted out slightly and MEGA CAPTAIN which shifted in slightly as it established a three wide position behind JUICY DRAGON. Z Purton was advised in similar circumstances he should exercise more care to ensure runners to his inside are provided with sufficient racing room. Z Purton (MEGA CAPTAIN) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 100 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when not clear of CENTRAL BANK, resulting in CENTRAL BANK having to be checked. Z Purton was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 28 October 2026 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his excellent race riding record.
8 5 TACTICAL ACE (L249) Shortly after the start shifted in and was corrected by its rider M Chadwick. When placed under pressure in the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out.
9 3 SOMELOVEFROMABOVE (J503) No report.
10 10 GIANT SPIRIT (L169) Shifted out on jumping and made contact with KING’S ARROW.
11 12 NOBLE DELUXE (K052) A Atzeni stated that his mount gave ground noticeably in the Home Straight and raced in a disappointing manner but could offer no explanation for the performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
12 9 GROUPER (L233) E C W Wong stated that his mount jumped awkwardly and as a result lost ground at the start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
