Racing Incident Report
| Pla. | Horse No. | Horse | Incident |
5 | STORM MIRROR (L179) | C Y Ho advised that he was instructed to take up a forward position but not necessarily lead. He said whilst STORM MIRROR jumped only fairly it then showed good early pace to lead the event. Trainer P C Ng confirmed the instructions and stated those instructions were the same issued at its most recent start when it settled further back than he had anticipated. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 | TIN FOOK (K167) | Sent for sampling post-race.
13 | SOO KOO (L008) | On a number of occasions near the 550 Metres was bumped by ONE MORE which shifted out.
3 | ABSOLUTE AWAKENED (K039) | Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by ONE MORE.
7 | TYCOON EXPRESS (K376) | Crowded shortly after the start. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
1 | HAPPY TERCENTENARY (L185) | Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between TYCOON EXPRESS which was taken out by GOOD LUCK BABE and M M CONCORD which shifted in.
9 | STUNNING BUNDLE (L420) | On jumping bumped with ONE MORE due to both runners shifting ground. Passing the 200 Metres made contact with M M CONCORD due to both runners shifting ground.
14 | GOOD LUCK BABE (K016) | C L Chau stated that his mount jumped only fairly, shifted out and made contact with TYCOON EXPRESS. He said as a result GOOD LUCK BABE settled further back in the field than what had been intended.
2 | LUNAR DASH (K334) | K Teetan stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed not to go forward to ensure the horse was given the opportunity to run out the 1400 Metres of today’s race. Trainer B Crawford confirmed the instructions issued.
6 | CAVA PIONEER (L359) | When questioned Z Purton stated that his mount obtained a midfield position where it followed STUNNING BUNDLE throughout the early and middle stages. He said making the Home Turn STUNNING BUNDLE shifted out and he improved to its inside. He said as he improved to the inside of STUNNING BUNDLE, ONE MORE endeavoured to obtain running between STORM MIRROR and SOO KOO where there was not sufficient room to do so which resulted in ONE MORE giving ground and CAVA PIONEER being held up behind ONE MORE near the 400 Metres. He added that he then endeavoured to improve between ONE MORE and STUNNING BUNDLE, however, ONE MORE shifted out which resulted in the run closing near the 350 Metres and CAVA PIONEER not being able to secure clear running for the remainder of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 | M M CONCORD (L076) | Shifted in at the start and became unbalanced when it bumped HAPPY TERCENTENARY. Passing the 200 Metres made contact with STUNNING BUNDLE due to both runners shifting ground. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
4 | ONE MORE (K261) | On jumping bumped with STUNNING BUNDLE due to both runners shifting ground. ONE MORE then shifted in and away from STUNNING BUNDLE and crowded ABSOLUTE AWAKENED. Near the 550 Metres endeavoured to improve into a run between STORM MIRROR and SOO KOO when there was not sufficient room to do so. When SOO KOO held its position, ONE MORE then was checked when disappointed between STORM MIRROR and SOO KOO. H T Mo was reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to ride with more care than he did on this occasion. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, ONE MORE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
11 | DAILY FUN (L231) | L Ferraris reported that the horse made a respiratory noise during the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 | FLUORESCENCE (L124) | E C W Wong stated that his mount failed to travel throughout the event and did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of FLUORESCENCE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FLUORESCENCE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
| WV | GALLANT ASCEND (L160) | Withdrawn on 10.10.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter TYCOON EXPRESS. Before being allowed to race again, GALLANT ASCEND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. |
