Rider reported that on jumping his mount made contact with the right side of its starting gate and as a consequence lost ground. He said as a result he was unable to hold a forward position as he was instructed. He added that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Performance was considered disappointing as compared to its most recent starts. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 237.
