3 1 LUCKY SAM GOR (K114) Between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
4 5 THUNDER BLAZE (L188) Bumped on jumping.
5 12 THE BOOM BOX (K076) Jumped only fairly, shifted out and made contact with THUNDER BLAZE. When questioned C Y Ho stated that after making contact with THUNDER BLAZE at the start his saddle shifted back, placing him at a disadvantage throughout the early and middle stages. He said for this reason he was not able to apply full pressure to THE BOOM BOX in an endeavour to improve its position at the tail of the field. He added that upon entering the Home Straight when he was satisfied THE BOOM BOX was balanced, whilst his saddle was still back, he was able to commence to ride the horse along where THE BOOM BOX finished the race off strongly in the Home Straight.
6 4 BEAUTY CRESCENT (H334) Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of Y L Chung, 6th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race. Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

8 11 PRIME SUCCESS (L300) Shortly after the start shifted out and made contact with DRAGON JOY.
9 10 FORZA TORO (K355) As L Ferraris was unable to make the weight, L Hewitson was substituted as the rider of FORZA TORO. Jockey Ferraris was fined the sum of $5,000.
10 8 ENDEARED (H161) A Atzeni stated that his mount, which was racing first up today, finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 13 VULCANUS (J150) No report.
12 7 COMPLETE UNKNOWN (L219) Near the 300 Metres K Teetan had his whip accidentally knocked from his grasp by the whip of R Kingscote, rider of PRIME SUCCESS. K Teetan stated that his instructions were to go forward. He said as a result he was obliged to make use of the horse in the early stages to cross runners to his inside, however, was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. He added that in the Home Straight COMPLETE UNKNOWN was then unable to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 14 DRAGON JOY (J278) Jumped awkwardly and then shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by PRIME SUCCESS. Raced keenly in the middle stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 9 NORTHERN FIRE BALL (J488) Jumped awkwardly.
