Rider stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a forward position as his mount had been performing disappointingly at its most recent starts when ridden in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued - Race 560.

He added, in his opinion, the horse may be better suited down in grade. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. The next day was reported to be lame in its right front leg. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 476.
