She said her mount failed to show sufficient pace to do so and did not travel well throughout the event which she attributed to the “Good to Yielding” track conditions. After the race was examined by the vet who found that horse to be a “roarer” which had previously been reported - Race 696.

13 K115  BINGO BABE  27/05/2026   725  BINGO BABE (K115) when questioned regarding his riding out of the horse to the finish rider stated that under pressure in the Home Straight his mount was inclined to lay in. He said passing the 50M he commenced to shorten his reins to maintain control of the horse but as he did so he dropped his left rein which resulted in his mount shifting in and he having to stop riding in an attempt to regather his reins. He added that as that took some time to do so he was not able to fully ride his mount out to the finish of the race. Rider was advised he should ensure, wherever possible, that he maintains control of his reins - Race 725.

Rider stated that after that incident his mount was unable to improve until near the 450M. Near the 200M was eased. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 779.
