Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out on the second consecutive occasion and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam which must include additional diagnostic assessments. Additional diagnostic assessments performed on the horse did not show any significant findings - Race 818.
8 J398  LUCK IS BACK  07/10/2026   81  LUCK IS BACK (J398) approaching the 150M made contact with a runner. Over the concluding stages raced tight and then approaching the winning post was steadied. When questioned rider stated that the instructions were to go forward and lead if possible. He said in the early stages his mount did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position and he was content to hold a position with cover behind a runner. He added that when that runner crossed to be one-off near the 1000M he then elected to allow his mount to stride forward and race outside another runner to avoid covering additional ground. He said after improving to the outside of that runner, his mount commenced to race keenly and for that reason improved forward of that runner near the 550M. He further stated that although he was aware the pace of the event had been run inside of standard time he was unable to set a more sustainable pace during that section of the race - Race 081.
