Rider stated that whilst the horse was able to lead the race it did not travel strongly and when under pressure in the Home Straight raced “flat”. Trainer stated that after jumping awkwardly rider had to make some use of the horse in the early stages to hold the lead and also, in his opinion, was not assisted by being pressured in the lead, particularly with the middle stages being run slightly inside of standard time - Race 322.
