He said when that runner remained racing wide he elected to come back to follow that runner to avoid covering additional ground. He added in the Home Straight his mount responded reasonably well to his riding. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 358.
