Rider stated that his intention was to hold a more forward position but his mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to do so. Following the race was found that horse to be a “roarer” which had previously been reported. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 050.

1 K409  ONE MAN SHOW  13/06/2026   778  ONE MAN SHOW (K409) shortly after the start shifted out, resulting in its rider having to correct her mount. Near the 1000M was steadied. Rider stated that after that incident her mount raced keenly which resulted in it improving to the inside of a runner near the 900M where she was then obliged to restrain her mount. She said the instructions were to lead, however, her mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to do so and was crossed by that runner. She added her mount did not travel well thereafter before giving ground in the Home Straight. After the race was examined by the vet who found that horse to be a “roarer” and an endoscopic examination also showed a substantial amount of blood in its trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 778.
