He said in the early stages he shifted behind a runner with a view to continuing to shift to that runner’s outside. He added that when another runner improved to his outside he was unable to continue to shift out and as a result he was positioned behind the former runner. He said his mount did not travel well during the early and middle stages of the event and when he observed the favourite improve to his inside near the 350M he elected to shift in where he placed his mount under pressure. He further stated that his mount lay in over the concluding stages and as a result he was required to shift his weight in the saddle to prevent from shifting ground further - Race 442.
5 J531  WONDERSTAR  14/02/2026   436  WONDERSTAR (J531) jumped only fairly. In the middle stages raced keenly when being steadied. Between the 450M and the 400M had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted out - Race 436.
