2 K016  GOOD LUCK BABE  01/04/2026   567  GOOD LUCK BABE (K016) near the 50M was bumped. When questioned regarding the riding tactics adopted, particularly the middle stages of the race, rider explained that his instructions were to go forward if not lead. He said he was able to do that without putting his mount under too much pressure in the early stages. He added that from the 1200M he was aware that his mount commenced to increase the tempo, however, he was not in a position to restrain his mount any slower as the more he tried to the more his mount resisted his efforts. When it was explained that the sectionals between the 1200M and the 800M were run well inside standard time rider acknowledged that he was aware his mount was going too quickly. He further added that if he tried to go for another hold with his reins the situation would have only worsened given his mount was still very keen. He said as a result of that his mount was under pressure from the 200M. Trainer confirmed the instructions and was of the opinion that the horse was unable to run out the 1650M and would place the horse back to the 1200M at its next race start where it is likely that the horse would settle better in its races. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 567.
