Trainer advised the horse had pleased him prior to the event but could offer no explanation for the horse’s performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 381.
5 H399  GALAXY PATCH  25/01/2026   381  GALAXY PATCH (H399) shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by a runner. In the early and middle stages raced keenly and near the 800M was checked. Approaching the 300M lay in and proved difficult to shift out. When questioned rider stated that his mount raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages of the event. He said near the 700M while runners improving to his outside he was obliged to check his mount after being positioned behind a runner, resulting in his mount being positioned close to that runner’s heels. His mount continued to race keenly - Race 381.
6 H244  SUNLIGHT POWER  25/01/2026   381  SUNLIGHT POWER (H244) noted to have a small abrasion in the left nostril prior to the race, was examined by the Vet and passed suitable to race. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Raced very wide and without cover from the 800M. Bumped near the 250M - Race 381.
7 H408  COPARTNER PRANCE  14/12/2025   260  COPARTNER PRANCE (H408) jumped awkwardly. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 260.
8 H485  PATCH OF THETA  01/02/2026   396  PATCH OF THETA (H485) bumped over the concluding stages. Noted to have sustained a laceration to the left hind leg - Race 396.
9 H368  RAGING BLIZZARD  25/01/2026   379  RAGING BLIZZARD (H368) jumped only fairly. Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400M and the 200M. Approaching the 200M made contact with a runner when shifting out- Race 379.
10 J277  PACKING HERMOD  01/01/2026   310  PACKING HERMOD (J277) noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the vet and passed suitable to race. Near the 450M was steadied when awkwardly placed. Rider reported that entering the Home Straight he was following the winner but when that runner quickened leaving the 400M his mount responded only fairly to his riding. When questioned rider stated that in the middle stages his mount commenced to race keenly and leaving the 700M improved to the inside of a runner and as a result he was obliged to check his mount to avoid that runner. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 310.
