Racing Incident Report

1 8 WAVE GARDEN (K209) Jumped awkwardly. When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer C W Chang stated that the horse was advantaged by being down in grade and also appreciated having its first race start on the All Weather surface. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 9 GIMME FIVE (J099) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 3 DAILY TROPHY (H283) Jumped only fairly.
4 6 ONLY U (J037) Jumped only fairly, shifted out and was steadied to avoid HAPPY ACTION.
5 12 TURF PHOENIX (J294) No report.
6 2 SO MY FOLKS (K456) Making the turn near the 600 Metres MR GOOD VIBES shifted out, resulting in SO MY FOLKS improving to the inside of MR GOOD VIBES. A short distance later MR GOOD VIBES shifted in to resume its position, resulting in SO MY FOLKS having to be steadied. SO MY FOLKS then had difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 400 Metres.
7 5 HAPPY ACTION (K399) Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres lay in and had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted out. Again near the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of SO MY FOLKS.
8 1 ROBOT KNIGHT (H464) Apprentice P N Wong stated that after obtaining a forward position in the early stages her mount failed to respond to her riding and raced "flat”. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
9 4 RISING ELITE (K544) No report.
10 7 MR GOOD VIBES (H180) No report.
11 10 VON BAER (K198) When caught wide in the early stages was steadied to obtain a position with cover behind WAVE GARDEN. Leaving the 600 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid WAVE GARDEN. M F Poon stated that he was instructed to obtain cover on the horse which resulted in VON BAER settling back in the field. He said after obtaining a position with cover VON BAER found it difficult to make up ground from that position, particularly when the pace of the race quickened from the 500 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 11 HANDSOME BLOND (K241) Jumped awkwardly. In the early stages got its head up when being steadied to obtain cover. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
