Racing Incident Report
About the 500 Metres the first time, DARLEY threw its head about when awkward on the hindquarters of TWEET. Near the 200 Metres the first time, INDIAN TAIPAN was steadied as EXCELLENCE FOREVER shifted to a position behind SKY HAWK. Turning out of the Straight the first time, RECOGNITION (D Whyte) shifted from a position behind DANELAW to be racing behind EXCELLENCE FOREVER. As a consequence of this, INDIAN TAIPAN lost its racing position to which it was entitled and was obliged to race wider. No direct action was taken, but D Whyte was told whilst the Stewards appreciate competitive riding, there is a limit to which it can be taken. Approaching the 400 Metres, when TRUSTY STEED was giving ground quickly, DANELAW was checked and shifted in. As a consequence of this, TREMENDOUS WAY was severely checked. In view of all the circumstances, no action was taken. When TREMENDOUS WAY checked approaching the 400 Metres, DARLEY was inconvenienced and shifted out.
