Racing Incident Report
At the start, BRAVO VICTORY was crowded and became unbalanced when tightened for room between DANCING SOUND which shifted out slightly and NEW CENTURY which on leaving the gates shifted in abruptly. On jumping, ROYAL STAR and WELL CONTEND bumped. K C Tsang (STAR WARRIOR) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)]. The careless riding being that in the run to the first turn he allowed his mount to shift in towards the rail at an acute angle and as a consequence of this WORLD STAR was checked making the first turn. K C Tsang was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday 21 March 2002 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong race days). The commencement of the suspension will take immediate effect. Turning out of the Straight the first time, WINNING TOUCH was steadied when awkward between ALL THE GLORY and ROYAL STAR which hung out. In the middle stages, CRYSTAL STEEL raced very ungenerously, got its head up and hung out. Near the 400 Metres, STAR OF WAH YAN was steadied when momentarily tight inside CRYSTAL STEEL. NEW CENTURY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
