Racing Incident Report
DANSWINNER was withdrawn on 26.3.02 on veterinary grounds (lame off hind). Before being allowed to race again, DANSWINNER will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. BRILLIANT WAY was obliged to race wide throughout and was not able to obtain any cover. About the 1000 Metres, MY CHIEF was steadied when racing awkwardly inside MAGICAL WARRIOR and close to the heels of SNOWSTORM. Near the 400 Metres, CENTURY HORSE shifted from behind TRICCOLO. As a consequence of this, BULL'S EYE was carried into an awkward position close to the heels of BRILLIANT WAY and steadied. From straightening until after the 200 Metres, MAGICAL WARRIOR was held up for running between CHUTZPAH and tight inside CENTURY HORSE. MAGICAL WARRIOR obtained a run over about the last 100 Metres. In the Straight, MY CHIEF had a tendency to lay in. Because of this, Y T Cheng stopped riding several times and straightened. BRILLIANT WAY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
