Racing Incident Report

WINNING SUNSHINE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, TAKING THE LEAD and VISIONNAIRE were crowded for room between CAPE PRINCE and ARMONDO, both of which shifted ground. Near the 1600 Metres, CAPE PRINCE was steadied to avoid the heels of SIAMERIC TE SPECSO (B Prebble) which shifted in when not properly clear. B Prebble was told to exercise greater care. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, CZAR OF PRUSSIA was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of EASTKOWLOON SPIRIT. At the same time, WINNING SUNSHINE was steadied when awkwardly placed inside SMART HORSE which was being steadied to allow TAKING THE LEAD to cross. After this, CZAR OF PRUSSIA and TAKING THE LEAD (O Doleuze) raced tight inside the heels of VISIONNAIRE as a result of TAKING THE LEAD improving its position where there was doubtful room. O Doleuze was told to exercise greater care. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, SHABU SHABU was steadied when awkwardly placed between PROGRESSING TIMES and PILLOW KING. At the 900 Metres, WINNING SUNSHINE became unbalanced when close to the heels of CZAR OF PRUSSIA. Shortly after straightening, TAKING THE LEAD was checked and shifted out away from the heels of VISIONNAIRE. Approaching the 200 Metres, D Whyte (CAPE PRINCE) had his whip knocked from his hand by the whip of B Prebble. At the 150 Metres, TAKING THE LEAD was awkwardly placed between VISIONNAIRE and SHABU SHABU. ARMONDO and CAPE PRINCE were sent for sampling.
