Racing Incident Report

DANZIGMOUNTAIN was slow to begin. CASH BABY began awkwardly, in the early stages raced ungenerously and in the middle stages hung out. From the outside barrier, AMERICAN VICTORY was taken across behind runners. In the early stages, PLEASURE PLEASURE proved difficult to settle and got its head up, then in the middle stages hung out. After the 200 Metres, MURCIELAGO, which was closing the race off fairly, was steadied when disappointed for running between NATIVE LANGUAGE and FLASH HARRY. Over the final 200 Metres, SPY KING and CHEERFUL HAPPINESS had difficulty obtaining clear running and as a result were not able to be fully tested. In the run to the winning post, FLASH HARRY was brushed by NATIVE LANGUAGE which shifted in. As a consequence, FLASH HARRY was not ridden right out to the line as it normally would be. Throughout the race, NATIVE LANGUAGE travelled wide and without cover. CASH BABY and SPY KING were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of CASH BABY and SPY KING after the race did not show any significant findings. KIWI DASH and AMERICAN VICTORY were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 16 October 2006)
CASH BABY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. CASH BABY was again examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C W Chang this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in the right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, CASH BABY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
