Racing Incident Report
GALBRAITH was withdrawn on 18.1.07 by order of the Stewards (stable transfer) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter PICTURE PERFECT. ZAVONE and PICTURE PERFECT began awkwardly and bumped. Shortly afterwards, ZAVONE was checked to avoid the heels of CHOICE AND CHANCE. On jumping, GOOD TO GO was crowded for room between FORTE and SACRED KINGDOM, both of which shifted ground. When under pressure after the 400 Metres, PROFITING CHAMPION raced greenly, shifted ground on a number of occasions and after the 200 Metres caused interference to THUNDER DANCING which was giving ground. Throughout the race, FORTE hung in and near the 300 Metres was steadied away from the heels of GOOD TO GO which was racing tight outside ZAVONE. At the 300 Metres, ZAVONE was crowded for room outside PACIFIC ADVANTAGE which shifted out. Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, ZAVONE was steadied when crowded for room outside PACIFIC ADVANTAGE (C Soumillon) which again shifted out. Whilst the Stewards accepted C Soumillon had stopped riding and straightened his mount, he nonetheless was severely reprimanded and told in similar circumstances he would be expected to straighten his mount sooner than he did on this occasion. After the 200 Metres, GOOD TO GO was steadied when awkwardly placed outside ZAVONE. Over the concluding stages, PICTURE PERFECT hung out and just prior to the winning post shifted ground, causing some inconvenience to FORTE which was giving ground. GOOD TO GO was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of GOOD TO GO after the race did not show any significant findings. SACRED KINGDOM and KINGIFLY were sent for sampling.
