Racing Incident Report

SIKANDER began awkwardly and lost ground. From a wide barrier, SIR LAGO was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After the 1700 Metres, PUERTO RICO was steadied to avoid the heels of DASH AHEAD which itself was momentarily steadied when tightened for room inside LHOJONG which shifted in away from CALIFORNIA BISHOP (B Prebble) which shifted in abruptly when barely clear. B Prebble was advised against the practice of shifting in at acute angles and at the same time steadying his mounts. Shortly after this incident, LHOJONG was steadied away from the heels of CALIFORNIA BISHOP. Making the Home Turn, ON SHAN BRAVE was carried wider by CALIFORNIA BISHOP which at this time shifted to the outside of HIGH INTELLIGENT. Approaching the 200 Metres, ELECTRONICS SPUR had difficulty obtaining clear running between HIGH INTELLIGENT and CALIFORNIA BISHOP. Almost right on the winning post, ELECTRONICS SPUR was checked when crowded for room between HIGH INTELLIGENT and CALIFORNIA BISHOP which initially shifted in of its own accord and then was carried in further by SIKANDER which shifted away from YOUNG HERO which itself shifted in slightly. In the circumstances, no action was taken. LHOJONG was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of LHOJONG after the race did not show any significant findings. YOUNG HERO and SIKANDER were sent for sampling.
