Racing Incident Report

After being boxed, AIPODER IMAGE became fractious. Before being allowed to race again, AIPODER IMAGE will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. AIPODER IMAGE then bounded in the air at the start, shifted out and bumped TOWKAY FLYER which in turn shifted ground and bumped KINGSTON MARBLE. GLENEALY ELITE began awkwardly and lost ground. WONDER KID bounded in the air and lost ground on jumping. Near the 300 Metres, P H Lo (NEW TRIUMPH) had the whip knocked from his hand by the whip of B Prebble (GLENEALY ELITE). Also near the 300 Metres, NEW TRIUMPH was bumped by GLENEALY ELITE which when being shifted towards the inside of CLEAR WIN raced greenly, became unbalanced and shifted ground abruptly. After this, GLENEALY ELITE continued to race greenly, hung in and at the 100 Metres brushed JUST RIGHT. Near the 100 Metres, NEW TRIUMPH was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of JUST RIGHT and tight outside KINGSTON MARBLE which improved on its inside. No action was taken. After the 100 Metres, WINNING AHEAD was steadied and shifted in after initially shifting out under pressure. M Nunes (WITHALLMYHEART), which was dropping back in distance today, explained from an inside draw he had been asked to ensure his mount was properly balanced in the hope that it would close the race off strongly. He said in the early stages he allowed WITHALLMYHEART to travel comfortably, near the 600 Metres shifted it across behind runners towards the outside rail as in his opinion the going was superior on this part of the track. He said after this he commenced to ride WITHALLMYHEART along and the horse closed the race off nicely. CLEAR WIN, REUNION and GLENEALY ELITE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported REUNION had lost its left front plate.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 13 May 2008)
The Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison reported that BROWN BEAR was this morning found to be lame in the left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, BROWN BEAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
