Racing Incident Report
When the gates opened, KUNG FU sat back, bounded in the air and as a consequence began awkwardly and lost ground. At the 1000 Metres, ALL TIME HIGH was left racing wide and without cover. Making the Home Turn, FIRST BABY was awkwardly placed inside the heels of LONGWAH RISING. From on straightening until after the 200 Metres, ELITE SIXTY-SIX was held up and unable to obtain clear running. When questioned, J Lloyd (CIRCUIT HERO) said the intention had been to ride the horse in a forward position as is usual. He said CIRCUIT HERO began well, he allowed the horse to travel forward, using its natural speed. He said when ELITE SIXTY-SIX and LONGWAH RISING held their positions to his inside after the 1200 Metres, he elected to steady CIRCUIT HERO and come back in the hope of obtaining a position with cover. He said CIRCUIT HERO continued to race in a three wide line initially with cover, then after the 800 Metres was left racing without cover when HORSE WIN WIN shifted into a two wide position. He said CIRCUIT HERO kept on in the early part of the Straight, however, failed to close the race off in the final 200 Metres. He did point out CIRCUIT HERO was having its first start since 1 February 2009 and felt the horse might derive benefit from today's race. ALL TIME HIGH was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ALL TIME HIGH after the race did not show any significant findings. DANZULU and BIG PROFIT were sent for sampling.
