Racing Incident Report
As the start was effected, ALWAYS SOMETHING, which had been fractious in the barriers, reared and lost ground. At the entrance to the Straight, ALWAYS SOMETHING shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of KING AL AKBAR, causing both horses to become unbalanced. KING AL AKBAR was unable to obtain clear running until near the 150 Metres. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of STRAIGHT FORWARD, M Chadwick stated that his mount raced somewhat disappointingly in that it did not quicken shortly after entering the Straight when placed under pressure. A veterinary inspection of STRAIGHT FORWARD after the race did not show any significant findings. STRAIGHT FORWARD, HANDSOME ZULU and FEARLESS were sent for sampling.
